Chamberlain Hrdlicka Welcomes Two Associate Attorneys to Atlanta Office

Samuel T. Kuzniewski and Jessica R. Stephan join Atlanta Office

Chamberlain Hrdlicka is pleased to announce the addition of tax attorneys Samuel T. Kuzniewski and Jessica R. Stephan to its Atlanta office. They join as associates in its nationally-recognized Tax Controversy & Litigation practice, where they will advise and represent taxpayers before federal, state and local taxing authorities and in all federal and state courts where tax disputes are litigated.  

Samuel T. Kuzniewski

Kuzniewski focuses his practice on a variety of complex tax controversy issues. Prior to joining the firm, he served as an associate in a large corporate practice with a focus on private equity acquisitions and divestitures and portfolio company transactions. While in law school, he participated in moot court and was co-president of the Business and Tax Law Association. Kuzniewski also served as a legal intern with the Internal Revenue Service, Office of Chief Counsel and the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, his law degree at the University of Wisconsin Law School and his Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.

Jessica R. Stephan

Stephan represents clients in tax audits, appeals and litigation on a variety of tax controversy issues. Prior to joining the firm, she drafted operating agreements for newly formed LLCs and analyzed relevant tax codes and case law regarding a property tax exemption for a nonprofit organization at mid-size law firm in Atlanta. She was a legal intern with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Enforcement Division, where she conducted legal research on issues related to active investigations and drafted memos discussing the SEC’s disgorgement authority after the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act of 2021. While in law school, she was a member of Phi Alpha Delta, 1L Representative and VP of Internal Operations, and a mentor with the Business Law Association and the Women’s Law Association. Stephan earned her undergraduate degree at Mississippi State University, her law degree at the University of Southern California’s Gould School of Law and her Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
