Overview
Brandon Waddell is an experienced litigator, specializing in general and civil rights litigation, practicing in the Lansing office of Foster Swift in matters of business, real estate, municipal and family law. Brandon has extensive criminal and civil trial experience from his time as a felony prosecutor and Assistant Attorney’s General, in both state and federal courts.
Brandon previously served as the litigation manager for the Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC). In that role, he supervised the litigation section of the Office of Legal Affairs and served as a liaison between the MDOC and Department of Attorney General. Prior to that position, he served as an Assistant Attorney’s General in the MDOC division, Assistant Lansing City Attorney where he served as the district court manager and chief legal advisor for the Lansing Police Department, Assistant District Attorney in Dallas, Texas, and an associate practicing privately at an insurance subrogation firm.
Brandon grew up in Metro Detroit, receiving his Bachelor’s in Telecommunications from Michigan State University and his Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School with a concentration in litigation. He is admitted to practice in Michigan and Texas, and now lives in Lansing with his wife and daughters.
